MAARS ground robot – The new addition in arms of U.S. military

The giant QinetiQ North America’s Technology Solutions Group brought MAARS ground robot, which will specially use as an arms. June 6, 2008 they have delivered the first Modular Advanced Armed Robotic System (MAARS) ground robots to the US military. And it must be increase the power of the US military.

The MAARS ground robot is a well controlled remotely robot. There are also some robots which are recently used in different military groups. But in this addition of robot there are new accessories and attachments with it. MAARS can work at distances of 1km from the operator, which is most needed thing for a military operator. Its design is so well that it can handle itself in the stairs and it can also use wheels for faster movement. Others, for the hiding purpose MAARS ground robot can increase speed with reduce noise. MAARS is a light weight robot that than this type of older models robot, that can why it is able to move faster. Among its lot of feature manipulator arms, multiple types of weapons are really marked. Moreover, a wide range of sensor packages with seven high quality cameras has in it, which gives it multi-modal or multi response capabilities. Through to heavily power lethal weapons it can make a hard attack on the enemy in the battle field.

From the start of its making proposal, U.S. government pays more attention and full support of its creation. Dr William Ribich, President of the QinetiQ North American Technology Solutions Group said that, “The US government has been working with us over the last 18 months to develop and provide an innovative and evolutionary approach to combat situations that address the battlefield of the future”.

It is now in testing period. But in a near time, MAARS will add into the battlefield to show its effectiveness.

Nvidia’s new Tegra processor will give newness to the mobile phone

The giant world famous graphics chip maker Nvidia takes a big project for newly mobile phone processor. And they are now at the end stage of their working. In a near time they will launch their product in the market.

In the modern computer device market they only make some of products, which are the best then any other company’s product. For example, their graphics card quality is really non comparable with any others product. Like computer device they only produce a part of mobile. Nvidia plans to show off its new product for mobile application processors which is called Tegra processor. It is very much different and full of modern facilities then any other recent time smart phone processor.

APX 2500 was the previous launch product of the Nvidia’s. But it was not able to fulfill the whole demand of the user. Cause people always want newness. Others, Texas Instruments, Samsung and Marvell etc companies are dominating the market from a long time. And there was no real big difference with their processors and APX 2500 processor. So, Nvidia made their new Tegra processor with lot of facilities to win in the modern competitive market.

The general manager of Nvidia Mike Rayfield said that, “The Tegra series processors won’t consume more than a watt of power running at either 600MHz or 800MHz, while Atom is capable of exceeding that limit”. So the mobile phone with this processor will be much faster then any other smart phone. For this reason Nvidia is calling it Tegra “the world’s first computer on a chip for mobile visual computers”. For its fastness the mobile Internet service and the Sub-note book service will be much great than any other. Nvidia already declared that their Sub-note book service qualities will likely the Eee PC. And the Internet service you will get direct support for WiFi by this device. Others, like the Nvidia’s graphics card the mobile phone will also get great resolution or graphics quality for this processor.

The corporate vice president of Microsoft’s mobile communication business Todd Warren said, “With NVIDIA’s Tegra processor line, we will continue to see impressive mobile innovations in Windows Mobile products.” From his word it can say that how much popular will it.
