But, think again for scientists have now come up with findings that can let you grow meat without any animals. Surprised or shocked? Whatever your expression is, but this is a truth now going to be practiced soon, still under lab growth phase, but growing meat without animals will soon be an accepted reality worldwide.

With the heart and other tissue growing in vitro in the lab now, the scientists have recently developed many other tissues in experimental animals under lab conditions, which truly has given the biomedical engineering a completely new platform or horizon which till today remained hidden or unveiled.

Hoping to compensate with the rising demands of meat worldwide, the lab grown meat will help in resolving many problems like great reduction in the killing of animals, also, when grown under fully monitored conditions such meat will be free from conditions like swine flu, germs and other infections considerably, if not completely.

The livestock consuming so much space, and also leading to greenhouse gas emissions will be lowered to a very great extent, for in labs the space used and all such emissions will be reduce to a very great extent. This will somehow help in alleviating the green house effect at least to some extent.

The scientists and researchers are utilizing the satellite cells in labs under the process of tissue engineering to grow this so called artificial form of meat. So, far having achieved success in cultivating small nuggets of sizes as small as a thumbnail presently, the tidbits can be employed in pizzas or sauces as toppings, but for use in steaks a larger scale production that will soon be accomplished is a must requirement.

As every coin has two sides, so does this technology have some negative effects and as far as the ethical ground is concerned there will be many people who will object the growing of meats in labs under artificial conditions.

But, We can just say that for this, change of mind and thinking is the only solution, for being thoughtful about killing animals just for the sake of eating when there is already so many options available is something that will truly bring in global shift in the culture and also an acceptance of this artificially grown meat trend.
