Super Falcon Submersible Unveiled

British engineer has built a high-tech, winged submersible that claims to “fly” beneath the water. Well, that is interesting. Recently, the California Academy of Science in San Francisco has unveiled the evolution submarine to the world.

The submarine is mainly the concept of Thunderbird 4, but in a whole new way, and it is called Super Falcon Submersible. It has the look of the aircraft and it is capable of reach the depth of 1500 feet and cruse through the ocean at 6 knots, which is around about 7mph. The range of Super Falcon Submersible is 25 nautical miles, which is nearly 28.8 miles.

Graham Hawkes, the British engineer who built the Super Falcon said,

After 20 years of prototyping, Super Falcon is our most advanced and elegant submersible yet, encompassing all the innovations we made in introducing underwater flight from the surface to the bottom of the ocean,

The Super Falcon Submersible has a pressure hull which is made out of carbon fiber. It has two cockpits with dual light control and the instruments are very much familiar with military pilots. The passengers don’t have to worry about “the bends” because the cabin pressure remains at one atmosphere. And it can go down into the water at speeds of up to 200 feet a minute and can come up to the surface twice as fast which is at a speed of 400 feet a minute.
