Notebooks have made work easy those for all who need to work while traveling as they are easy to carry as well as cheap. But for all those who need a notebook which weigh less they may have to pay more. The Sony Vaio X is the newest addition to the notebook and with their ultra light weight and stylish looks are the best buy for all those who does not like to carry a lot of unnecessary weight. But to get rid of weight one would also have to lighten their pockets more as compared to other standard notebooks. One can get this sleek and light notebook at $1300 at Sony style stores and also on sonystyle.com.

The Sony Vaio X is just over 0.5 inches (12 mm) in thickness and the carbon- fiber body makes it extremely light than other notebooks in the same class which have more weight. But the 1.5 pound (680 grams) weight does not mean that you have to do away other important features. The screen is 11.1 inches and measures more than 10 inches diagonally implying it is large enough to comfortably read all the important mails and the diminutive size also makes it ideal to be held even in one hand while on go. To keep you connected the Vaio X comes along with a built- in modem which supports the Verizon wireless broadband network.

Though Sony Vaio X according to its manufacturers is the lightest and thinnest laptop in the world but it has a pretty decent battery life. The battery when used to perform typical jobs can last about three hours. If someone wants more battery life then they can get a protruding extended battery which would make your notebook work for about 17 hours but adding 0.7 pounds (318 grams) to the weight.

The unique design of the Vaio accounts for its low weight. The aluminum and carbon fiber frame along with a small Intel atom processor does not let this model carry heat enabling it to work without a large ventilation fan. The Sony Vaio X also have slot for memory cards and navigation software along with a GPS chip. Though this model has feeble speakers and not so comfortable feeling with the carbon- fiber cover but all the incredible features it possess for its easy to carry weight, may make it a favorable choice for all who need something small and portable. Sony Vaio X with its innovative design may soon change the way notebooks are made in the future.
